Manchester United and Moyes agree settlement agreement

The League Managers Association have today confirmed that Manchester United have reached a settlement agreement with sacked manager David Moyes.

Moyes was fired from his post earlier this week after failing to qualify for the champions league.

It is believed that the timing was a contractual way of saving on a payoff.

The club maintain that their actions were lawful, and the LMA have now released a statement claiming the former manager boss has been paid in full.

It read: "The League Managers Association and Manchester United are pleased to confirm that terms of settlement have been agreed between the club and David Moyes in respect of the termination of his employment.

A settlement agreement is in the process of being finalised. No further comment will be made in relation to this issue."

The “no further comment” will be due to the confidentially provisions which are a common feature of employment settlement agreements.
